Verified in the official register

We only list cafes that appear in the local government's register of Type 1 Animal Handling Businesses (exhibition). That register also covers businesses that are not animal cafes, so we select the animal cafes ourselves. Each cafe page shows its registration number and expiry date (as of the register's reference date — this is not a certification or recommendation by the local government).

Opening status checked daily

We check every cafe every day. When we find a cafe has closed, moved or is temporarily closed, we take it off the list and move it to “closed cafes”.
